Call for Special Lectures, Symposia and Special Events
For Special Lectures and Symposia
– The official language of the meeting is English. Each proposal should include: title; brief description; short CV (1-2 pages long. For symposia, add the CV of all speakers). All symposia must be presented by 3-4 speakers and ideally participants should be from diverse countries. For instance, 2-3 must be participants from Latin American/Caribbean (from different countries) and 1-2 from other countries. Symposium proposals containing only Latin American/Caribbean
neuroscientists must include researchers from different countries. Below are the suggested topics for Special Lecture and Symposium submissions:
#1: Techniques for the study of brain functions (e.g., Optogenetics, Chemogenetics, Brain image)
#2: Artificial Intelligence
#3: Neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric-related disorders
#4: Neurobiology of Emotions #5: Drug dependence
#6: Neurobiology of pain
#7: Memory and learning
#9: Synaptic physiology/cell and molecular biology of neuronal plasticity #10: Chronobiology and Sleep
#11: Glial cells
#12: Stem cells and organoids research
#13: Neurogenesis, Neural development and Evolution of the nervous system #14: The brain connectome
For Special Events (SE)
– Each SE proposal should also include: title; brief description; short CV (1-2 pages). The suggested topics for SE submissions are below:

SE #2: Animal research: best practices for communicating about animal research SE #3: Activity for Young investigator I (tips for writing a paper to be submitted to a good journal; Career development)
SE #4: Activity for Young Investigator II (how to apply for financial support) SE #5: Neuroethics

SE #7: IBRO Alumni.
Submissions are open from May 30th to November 11 th, 2019.
